COLLECTION

Buenestados

That’s what I call those moments when I truly feel at ease with myself and with what’s around me.

It’s rarely just one feeling. More often, it’s a mix of many. Sometimes there’s calm, lightness, and closeness; other times, a rush of energy and excitement, or the sense that something important is just about to happen. All of it human, real, and somehow exactly where it belongs.

I don’t pretend life is free of difficulties. Quite the opposite. I know very well there can be plenty of them. That’s why I want to pay more attention to the good moments that are so easy to miss.

I let them stay with me a little longer and find their way into my paintings. Those moments can take completely different forms, and that’s exactly what fascinates me most.

How I paint

Usually, I’m drawn to a color first. A color I need that day, one that moves me and feels in tune with what I’m feeling. From there, one gesture leads to another. I watch the lines and shapes emerge, see where they take me, and respond as I go.

I rarely have a finished image in my head. Even when I start with an idea, the painting often takes me in a different direction. I search, change things, and see what else it might need. I keep painting until everything starts to feel like it belongs together.

Paula

My work grows out of paying attention to what’s happening inside me and around me. Here in Valencia, the light feels different, and the climate lets nature express itself in a completely different way. All those colors, scents, warmth, and the beauty of everyday life eventually find their way into my paintings.

What stays with me isn’t the exact place or moment, but the feeling it leaves behind — a mood, an impression, something that lingers. That’s where I begin.

Creative workshops

The perfect line, learning how to match colors, recognizing different styles? Not here.

Pick up a brush and give yourself the freedom to simply create. No plan, no judging, no need to do anything “right”.

We meet in small groups. The basic workshops usually last around 2.5 hours, while some sessions take a little more time and run for several hours. Each one has its own theme and structure, but there’s always room to experiment, follow your own ideas, and create freely.

No need to prepare anything in advance. The materials, guidance and good coffee will all be waiting for you. Just bring some curiosity and a little willingness to create.
